Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace Football Club, also known as "The Eagles," is a professional football team based in Selhurst, South London, England. With a rich history dating back to 1861, they claim to be the oldest professional football club in the world. The club was officially founded in 1905 and has since been a mainstay in English football, currently competing in the prestigious Premier League. The early years of the club were spent at the Crystal Palace Exhibition building, where both the amateur and professional teams shared the cricket pitch with the Crystal Palace Cricket Club. From 1905 to 1915, the professional club played at the FA Cup Final stadium, but the outbreak of the First World War forced them to leave. In 1924, the club moved to its current home, Selhurst Park, where it has since established itself as a fierce competitor in English football.
